Man United have been given a double injury lift, with both Rasmus Hojlund and Mason Mount making their return to training.
Manchester United have recorded back-to-back wins over their last couple of matches, scoring ten and keeping two clean sheets in those matches. No doubt that’s a massive confidence boost, particularly after a sluggish start to the campaign.
Next up, a tricky away game against Crystal Palace. Selhurst Park has not been a happy hunting ground for the Red Devils recently, but Erik ten Hag will be looking to put that right on Saturday evening.
Ahead of the game, United have received a double injury boost, as a key first-team duo have made their return to senior training. Both Rasmus Hojlund and Mason Mount have been spotted working hard with the main group, according to the official club website.
We haven’t seen Hojlund in competitive action this term, after he went down with injury in pre-season. Mount, on the other hand, came off against Brighton in the second match of the campaign.
Hojlund is the only recognised striker at the club at the moment, particularly as we’re learning Joshua Zirkzee is better playing just in behind the main forward. Having the Dane back as a focal point for the attack has the potential to be massive.
As for Mount, his injury record is starting to become a real cause for concern. It’s an issue for Ten Hag as his key presser cannot stay fit for prolonged periods of time. Thankfully, he’s made it back quickly here and I’d like to think his worst problems are now behind him.
Simply put, when both of these guys are fully healthy, they’re guaranteed starters. Having them back is huge news for Ten Hag, though I’d be surprised if we see them involved against Palace this weekend.
Welcome back, lads!
