Members of the Curva Sud are set to boycott the start of Roma’s game with Inter over concerns about how The Friedkin Group is running the Serie A club
A section of Roma’s fanbase is set to protest against the running of the club by Everton’s prospective new owners. Members of the Curva Sud will boycott the first 15 minutes of the club’s game with Inter at the weekend over concerns about Roma’s plight under The Friedkin Group (TFG).
TFG have agreed a deal for the Blues with Blues owner Farhad Moshiri and will add the club to their portfolio should they pass regulatory tests.
The move to add Everton to their control is one of several to have caused concern in Rome, where club legend Daniele de Rossi was sacked in the opening weeks of the season.

Roma have stabilised on the pitch and are five unbeaten in the league and just three points off third-placed Juventus.
But some supporter discontent remains, with the Curva Sud pointing to staff appointments and merchandise complaints as sources for discontent that build into a wider allegation the ownership is failing to reflect the values and history of the club.
Claiming the club is “not following up its promises with actions” and failing to build a club “every Romanista can identify and be proud of”, a statement from the Curva Sud concluded: “Romanistas of all sectors are invited to unite in the protest. Friedkin family, we demand a change of direction.”
Roma have finished sixth in the past three consecutive seasons under the Friedkins and, in that time, won the Europa Conference League and lost in the final of the Europa League.
Speaking recently, sporting director Florent Ghisolfi opened up on the long-term strategy of the Friedkins, which he said was to build a strong club that could survive changes of personnel and build sustainably towards success.
Of the purchase of Everton, Ghisolfi added: “The Friedkins have always been very clear: they want the best for Roma and they demonstrate it every day on an economic level and by spending a lot of personal energy. Winning is the objective, but we have to do it through all the things we listed before.”
