West Ham are considering one last extension for their principal front of shirt sponsor Betway before regulations change in 2026.
Betway have been the front of shirt sponsor for West Ham since February 2015 and the Hammers currently reportedly earn £10 million per year from the deal.
Premier League clubs last year voluntarily agreed to ban front-of-shirt sponsorship deals with gambling companies from the 2026/27 season.
The current Betway contract expires at the end of this season and West Ham were expected to change sponsors, but gambling companies can outbid other sponsors and could make a competitive offer that is too good to turn down for one final season.
We could see Betway extend their sponsorship beyond 2026 as gambling companies are not banned from sleeve sponsors so we could yet see Betway replace Quickbooks who replaced JD Sports this season.
Quickbooks are thought to have paid up to £4m for a one season sleeve deal but Premier League sleeve sponsorship deals are likely to massively increase in value as new regulations on gambling come in.
