West Ham United striker Niclas Fullkrug is in the midst of a living nightmare right now.
Niclas Fullkrug was brought to West Ham by Julen Lopetegui and Tim Steidten only two months ago.
He made his big move to the London Stadium from Borussia Dortmund the summer – one that could be worth up to £27.5 million including incentivised add-ons.
Fullkrug has already admitted that he has made a very bad start to life with the Hammers.
The 31-year-old is currently out with a calf problem, and it has been claimed that there are real concerns within the club about his general fitness as well.
I have to say, his start in East London has been less than impressive.
Whether he will come good or not remains to be seen, but it seems like the Hammers may well have already made a decision regarding Fullkrug’s future.
Shock Niclas Fullkrug claim after just two months at West Ham
The former Borussia Dortmund man has really struggled to establish himself at the London Stadium.
Sure, the injury he picked up back in September hasn’t helped, but even before that he looked well off the pace.
And now the Hammers could be set to take some really drastic action with Fullkrug.
According to German publication Kicker, West Ham could already be prepared to cash in on the 31-year-old striker.
With the January window now just 10 weeks away from opening, Lopetegui has some big decisions to make.
And moving the Germany international on really would be a bold call.
Fullkrug only joined West Ham a little more than two months ago.
Many Hammers fans believe that Lopetegui, and Steidten of course, made a big error by signing him, rather than Jhon Duran.
I agree with that notion, but I do feel like we all need to get behind Niclas Fullkrug now – I’m sure West Ham won’t be selling him in January.
He needs our support right now more than ever.
