West Ham fans will always see David Moyes at the London Stadium after the former Hammers boss had a tribute installed by the club.
Some West Ham fans miss David Moyes while others were pleased his tenure was brought to an end.
But whatever your stance on the former Hammers boss, fans are going to be seeing a lot more of him.
Moyes is indisputably West Ham’s most successful manager in generations.
The Scot saved the Irons from relegation in his first stint at the club.
He did the same again when he returned for a second spell during the difficult circumstances presented by the pandemic.
West Ham then enjoyed a meteoric rise under Moyes.
The Hammers finished sixth – one win off the top four – with the club’s record Premier League points total.

Moyes then steered the club to the Europa League semi-finals while securing a seventh place finish – qualifying for Europe for a second consecutive season.
The Hammers struggled for the same consistency in the Premier League the following season but turned things around to stay up comfortably.
And of course that campaign was rounded off by the club’s first major trophy for 43 years as West Ham won the Europa Conference League last summer.
That meant a third consecutive season of European football for the first time in the club’s 129-year history.
In his final season, Moyes had West Ham in top six contention at the turn of the year.
But the Hammers faded badly with just five wins from 25 in all competitions in 2024. They finished ninth and were edged out of the Europa League at the quarter-final stage by Bayer Leverkusen.
Many have argued Moyes deserves a statue for his efforts.
Others feel that’s a step too far.
There has even been debate about whether he is a Hammers legend or not.
But now the Scot will have something marking his reign in east London.
Mural commemorates Moyes’ West Ham reign
Because ex boss Moyes has had a West Ham tribute installed at the London Stadium.
West Ham have installed a ‘History of West Ham managers’ mural at the ground.
It lists all 18 of West Ham’s managers along the bottom, including Moyes’ successor Julen Lopetegui.
But only a select number – 11 to be precise – have been chosen to have their pictures and achievements up in lights.
It charts West Ham’s managerial history from Syd King through to Moyes.
The tribute features an image of the Scot smiling above his name, years of service over two stints and a graphic of the Europa Conference League trophy.
It’s a classy bit of artwork from West Ham.
Some may feel it’s not enough. But it is at least something to commemorate Moyes’ work at the club.
Many supporters shared pictures of the mural on social media after spotting when attending Sunday’s win over Man United.
Slaven Bilic, Sam Allardyce, Alan Pardew, Harry Redknapp, Billy Bonds, John Lyall and Ron Greenwood are among those who also feature.
At the very least it’s a nice touch and something Moyes can be proud of. Especially given the long blank space in the trophy column between 1980 and 2003.
The graphic certainly lays down the gauntlet to Lopetegui.
If he wants to have his picture up there and name up in lights, he will need to do something impressive in the next couple of seasons.
Things have not started well following on from Moyes.
But if the Hammers can string another couple of wins together before the November international break then they can start dreaming of Europe again.
And any kind of qualification for Europe in the next two seasons will trigger a third year in Lopetegui’s deal.
If the Spaniard can manager that while threatening a trophy along the way then perhaps his image will be on the wall too one day.
