Manchester United is on the verge of bringing Ruben Amorim aboard to lead the squad the club would love to bring in Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala to be the centerpiece of its next era:
Man Utd are keen to mark the start of the Ruben Amorim era at Old Trafford by signing Jamal Musiala from Bayern Munich, according to reports.
And now reports in Spain have claimed that Man Utd ‘are in talks to sign’ Musiala from Bayern as the Red Devils ‘want to give’ Amorim a ‘bombshell’ signing.
Man Utd apparently ‘see the opportunity’ to bring Musiala to Old Trafford with Musiala’s contract running out in the summer of 2026, putting Bayern Munich at a ‘crossroads’.
This…is not likely. Aside of Musiala’s recent statements that seemed to indicate that he was leaning toward signing a contract extension with Bayern Munich, Manchester United is a mess. Given some of the other options Musiala is rumored to have (Real Madrid, Manchester City, Liverpool FC, Chelsea FC), the Red Devils might be too much of a question mark for Musiala to dive right into at this age.
Jude Bellingham has become one of the more divisive figures in world football. Some fans adore him and others cannot stand him…and there does not appear to be much room in between those factions.
Now, the former Borussia Dortmund man appears to be struggling with not being the focal point of the Real Madrid squad these days:
Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham is struggling now Kylian Mbappé has arrived. The Englishman has “gone from the epicentre at Madrid to being displaced” in the team and “is the main one affected by the arrival of Mbappé.”
Bayern Munich is back and looking powerful, but can it last? A lot of that will depend on how the team continues to come together over the course of this season.
Given that, there are several key issues that could play out in the coming weeks, which could affect some lineup decisions. Let’s talk about all of that and more:
- Jamal Musiala seems more like to extend his contract than ever. What does this mean for the squad planning process moving forward?
- If Leroy Sané is eventually unhappy at Bayern Munich this season, it looks like he will have the chance to skip town pretty easily.
- Are we witnessing the final months of Thomas Müller and Manuel Neuer at Bayern Munich?

In recent weeks, Real Madrid and Manchester United have appeared to become the frontrunners to land Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies next summer.
However, FC Barcelona could be angling its way into the mix:
Barcelona are positioning themselves to agree a deal for Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies, reports Sport. Davies sees his contract expire at the end of the season, however, the report suggests that Real Madrid and Manchester United both hold an interest in the Canadian. It is reported Barcelona manager Hansi Flick maintains a strong relationship with Davies from their time at the Bavarian club, which could work to Barcelona’s advantage as they look to strike a deal.
Davies’ future sure appears to be somewhere outside of Bavaria, but Bayern Munich is expected to give a contract extension at least one more run.
Arsenal FC and Liverpool FC are both keeping a close eye on the situation of Arda Guler at Real Madrid. The Turkish youngster is rumored to be unhappy with his role:
Arsenal and Liverpool are keen on striking a deal for Real Madrid starlet Arda Guler, who is still struggling for game time at the Bernabeu.

Inter Milan and Juventus could both be looking to swipe Lille’s Jonathan David:
Internazionale and Juventus are both keen to secure a deal for Lille forward Jonathan David, per Calciomercato. The Canada international is out of contract with the French club next summer and it looks unlikely that he will extend his contract. This opens the opportunity for interested parties outside of France to secure David on a free transfer in January, which has led to several clubs in Europe to monitor the situation.
Kyle Walker could be on his way out of Manchester City:
Kyle Walker could be out of favour at Manchester City, with the Premier League champions weighing up his future after several poor performances.
Bayern Munich was playing against Mainz 05…and some ghosts.
Getting past the second round has become extremely difficult for new Bayern Munich coaches, but Vincent Kompany managed to break the “curse” and lead the Bavarians to a 4-0 victory.
Bayern Munich used a staunch first half effort to power the squad and a hat-trick from Jamal Musiala to overwhelm Mainz 05. Simply put, Bayern Munich dominated from start to finish.
