West Ham’s next game against Everton is a must win game a senior source has told Claret and Hugh this morning.
While the West Ham board are backing the experienced head coach to turn things around, they need results to improve and see Everton as the first step.
The Hammers 3-0 loss against Nottingham Forest has seen a melt down by some sections of the fan base but historically the board is not quick to sack managers instead giving them every chance to improve.
West Ham sits in 14th place in the Premier League table with 11 points but that start to the season doesn’t make it into the Hammers top ten worst starts.
Everton are 16th placed with 9 points, so this game is seen as a real six pointer. Therefore, with Sean Dyche also in trouble for the Toffee’s, next weekends game could well be another El Sackio situation.
Pressure is on mounting on Julen Lopetegui and he will be expected to secure all three points at the London Stadium next weekend.
