The unnecessarily long saga that follows Alphonso Davies and his tenure at Bayern Munich seems to have no end. The story continues, with the Canadian players future still being hazy.
According to a report from Florian Plettenburg (captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern is still very much interested in keeping Davies in Munich. In principle, the club is ready to sign a contract, however, it almost entirely depends on Davies demands for the contract. Last summer, when the left back made his demands, the club decided that they were excessive, and it would be easier to offload him to Real Madrid (the primary interested club at the time).
Now, the club is open to renewing his contract, depending on his demands of course, but his newly found form seems to be justifying his demands. It could be why the club is taking so long to decide, weighing the benefit of keeping him versus the cost of keeping him at Säbener Straße. According to the report, Alphonso Davies would be free to negotiate with other clubs in January. Those clubs include Real Madrid and Manchester United, Madrid being on Davies tail since last year.
What do you think? Should the saga just end here? Let us know!
