Steve Cooper have job to do over the next two transfer windows to get his squad fully in line with Premier League level. Players evolve and exhale to get to new levels, some stagnate, so it will be interesting to see how Leicester will address their needs in the close future.
Leif Davis has since his move to Ipswich worked his way into becoming a highly rated left back and certainly showing his great strengths in the game vs. Leicester, scoring from a lovely volley.
Davis (24) will most certainly attract interest if his form continues, doing ever so well in a struggling Premier League side. Ipswich are currently in the relegation zone, still not won a game after 10 attempts. Davis is certainly a player to watch and one that could come into a frame of a move to Leicester among candidates to fill a left back position at the club in the future. England do have a left back problem, Davis should soon be in that frame.
Jack Clarke is today mentioned as a potential signing, also him, as Davis, a player overlooked at Leeds, but at this moment player at a higher level. Clarke (23) is another one, tasting Premier League football for the first time, not getting on the pitch while at Tottenham, but certainly a player that potentially could also grow into a future England international.
Omari Hutchinson joined Ipswich from Chelsea on a permanent deal in the summer. He was a very important player for Kieran McKenna last season, then on loan. Hutchinson (21) is another major talent that we do believe will flourish in the years to come and if Ipswich should see relegation after this season, he will certainly attract interest from higher places. A player with an exciting future in front, also to soon be recognized to go all the way England. Hutchinson made his full international debut for Jamaice in 2023, playing twice, but since then been representing England again at U.21 level. We are waiting for the £20million summer record fee signing at Ipswich to not either be part of the club if a relegation is happening.
Liam Delap and Jacob Greaves both played for Hull last season. Delap on loan from Man City, scoring the winner at King Power, that gave us all Leicester fans something to think about. Delap (21) has so far scored 5 goals in Premier League action for Ipswich, one player to have a clear eye on. Greaves (24) really catched the eye last season, watching him in Championship action. He is a very exciting central defender with a good track record at Hull, before his move this summer. One to watch as he also could become full England material.
