Tottenham Hotspur have been vying a probable move to bring in a centre forward in the 2025 transfer intervals as chiefs at Hotspur Way look to bring in a replacement for Brazilian international Richarlison at N17 owing to his struggles to stay fit and consistent, and the North Londoners have reportedly identified Lille striker Jonathan David as a potential target.
The Lilywhites were subject to linking with David over the summer; however, the transfer couldn’t conclude with Tottenham rather moving for Dominic Solanke in a £65 million deal.
David contract situation sparks interest from Juventus
Daniel Levy is vying for his signatures once again as he looks to take advantage of David’s contract situation with his current employers, complimented by the fact that the player has aspirations to play in the Premier League. Multiple English sides, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle United, and Tottenham, have been fortifying interest in signing the Canadian 24-year-old ace, as he seems detained to leave on a free transfer when this ongoing season concludes.
While David dreams of the Premier League, he will take his time before deciding on his next destination, and with Juventus interested, he would not rule out the move to the Italian top tier as well, per Calcio Mercato. The Serie A Giants have been looking to sign David on a Bosman deal as they look to add a striking partner for Dusan Vlahovic.
Another Italian side, AC Milan, were also keen to sign the striker last summer. However, they dropped off to financial demands.
For Tottenham, they will have to start laying the groundwork for a potential move well in advance, especially considering the growing competition for David’s signature.
