There is a lot of doom and gloom lingering around West Ham United right now isn’t there.
And it seems as though that is true for both the London Stadium on match-days and our Rush Green training ground.
Julen Lopetegui took over as the new West Ham head coach in the summer, and proceeded to bring nine new players to the club.
However, things haven’t gone to plan so far, and the Spaniard is said to be in danger of losing his job already.
It’s no surprise really is it – some of the performances have been truly dreadful this season.
And I have to say, there were a few questionable signings made as well, one in particular…
West Ham player is seriously not impressing in training right now
Things are not well at the London Stadium right now, that much is obvious in my eyes.
The Hammers are struggling on the pitch, and there have been plenty of dissenting voices off of it as well.
And now a claim has been made by someone with close links to David Sullivan about one player’s struggles in particular.
According to talkSPORT’s Alex Crook, when speaking on the Premier League All Access podcast, young winger Luis Guilherme has not impressed in training one little bit so far.
Perhaps that’s why he hasn’t been involved in many of Lopetegui’s match-day squads.
As things stand, Guilherme looks like a disastrous signing, there are no two ways about it, and his arrival has apparently caused friction at the London Stadium.
It’s obviously still very early days, and he could well come good in the end.
However, would it not have been wiser for Tim Steidten and Lopetegui to put the £25 million they spent on the Brazilian towards getting a deal for Jhon Duran done instead?
Or what about using that money for a powerful box-to-box midfielder instead?
Luis Guilherme is an exciting young talent, albeit one who’s miles off the pace right now, and we really didn’t need to sign him in the summer as far as I’m concerned.
It’s seems like the 18-year-old ‘s arrival at the London Stadium has raised some eyebrows behind the scenes as well.
