Liverpool forward Luis Díaz has been on the radar of FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain at various points this year. As a result, the English club isn’t taking any chances, knowing the interest of other clubs.
Díaz is off to a fantastic start this 2024-25 season as the Colombian has scored nine goals and recorded two assists in 16 appearances across all competitions. With Díaz flying under new manager Arne Slot, the Reds are now turning the wheels that no club like Barcelona or PSG look to lure the player away.
In September, a report revealed that Liverpool are preparing to start negotiations for a new contract with the winger to ward off any interest despite the player being under contract until 2027.
Liverpool nearly lost their standout winger
SPORT reports that Díaz nearly left Liverpool over the summer as Barcelona showed interest, but he was ultimately convinced to stay and work with Arne Slot.

If Liverpool extends Díaz’s contract, the rumors linking him to PSG will likely fade. During the summer transfer window, there were reports that PSG was interested in wingers like Jadon Sancho, but the Ligue 1 club ultimately focused on strengthening other positions instead.
