The West Ham United fans should be over the moon after an official announcement from the England camp.
West Ham have a whole host of players currently away on international duty with their respective nations.
Julen Lopetegui will be hoping and praying that all of his players return to the London Stadium without any niggles or knocks.
However, the players who are away with their nations will be fulfilling their boyhood dreams.
Whenever West Ham have a player involved with the England squad, it’s always a sign that we’re doing something right as a club.
Whilst Jarrod Bowen is away with the senior squad, we have another one of our players now involved in the England setup.
And that’s great news for everyone involved with the Hammers.
West Ham fans will be buzzing after England camp announcement
The Hammers have one very special young player on our hands, and now there has been further confirmation of that.
England international football’s official website shared the news late on Tuesday night that George Earthy has been called up to the under-21 squad for their clashes with Spain and the Netherlands.
The 20-year-old is currently on loan with Bristol City, and he has made a big impression for them so far.
Earthy is a huge talent, and Mark Noble absolutely raved about the midfielder, after he picked up the under-21s player of the season back in May.
The Hammers academy graduate rose to prominence when he made his Premier League debut for West Ham at the end of last season, but it ended in disaster after he was knocked out on the pitch and sent to hospital.
However, he has fully recovered since then, and the future seems to be very bright for him now.
In my opinion, he is the best young talent we have at West Ham, and that’s a huge compliment to him considering how many elite players we have in the academy right now.
George Earthy getting called up to the England under-21 squad will be a huge confidence boost for him, and it’s great news for West Ham.
I’m really looking forward to watching the Hammers youngster get some minutes against Spain and the Netherlands over the course of the next week.
