West Ham are reportedly interested in bringing Christian Pulisic back to the Premier League from AC Milan, though the winger position may not be high on our transfer priority list. The news has come from several sources in Italy who have reported the Irons interest but I’m not so sure the flying winger is a sensible target for Tim Steidten.
After joining Milan from Chelsea in July 2023, Pulisic has thrived, delivering 38 goal contributions in 65 games for the Italian side. His impressive form has not gone unnoticed and it’s clear the US internationals agents are doing their level best to public broadcast his availability.
However, West Ham’s £25m summer transfer Crysencio Summerville is just starting to get a run in the team following his move from Leeds United. He has had to be patient and wait for his chance which has come due to a 5 match ban for Mohammed Kudus.
£20m Brazilian wonderkid Luis Guilherme can barely get any gametime and of course, West ham captain Jarrod Bowen has one of the wing positions tied down.
Claret & Hugh were informed just last month by a top West Ham source that wingers were not a priority for the club.
So whilst Pulisic is indeed a very good player, The Hammers would be better served investing in a striker and mobile midfielder.
