One of the underlying stories of this season for Bayern Munich is the uncertain future of both Thomas Müller and Manuel Neuer.
It is easy to see both players retiring after the season…or sticking around for another run at greatness. Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund is not about to let the public know where things stand with each player.
“The contracts of Thomas and Manu expire next summer. We’re always in exchange with them. But I’m not going to give an exact update on the situation,” said Freund (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
As of now, there are rumors that Bayern Munich and Neuer are planning one more season together, but Müller’s future appears to be far less certain.
