Tottenham Hotspur have been subject to links with a move for Chelsea midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall as Daniel Levy looks to take advantage of his current situation at Stamford Bridge.
Dewsbury-Hall has struggled to make an impact for the Blues since his move from Leicester City, with the 26-year-old finding himself on the fringes of the first team at the moment, and despite being a highly regarded talent when he played under Enzo Marseca during the pair’s time with the Foxes, he has struggled to secure a regular spot in Chelsea’s midfield.
As struggles start to compound in West London, there have been reports that Enzo Marseca’s side are willing to loan out the midfielder in the upcoming winter window, with Tottenham interested to capitalise on the opportunity as Ange Postecoglou looks to bring in a Conor Gallagher-esque alternative in the middle of the park.
Tottenham face Villa competition for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall
While Spurs express interest, Aston Villa are also said to be looking to land the midfielder, with Unai Emery said to be a big fan of the player. And the Blues are not just open to loaning the midfielder but are also open to selling Dewsbury-Hall in January, per Fichajes.
The report states that the Villans have already started exploring interests in landing the players in an initial loan deal with an option to buy, albeit Chelsea insist on a £30m buy option while Unai Emery’s side are proposing £18.2m instead.
At the moment, conclusively, it looks like Dewsbury-Hall will leave Chelsea in the upcoming January transfer window, whether on loan or permanently, and Tottenham will need to act quickly if they are to beat Villa to his services.
