Everton return to Premier League action against Man City on Boxing Day
James Tarkowski has warned Manchester City that Everton will be arriving at the Etihad fully expecting to come away with a positive result. Having drawn 0-0 at Arsenal last weekend, the Blues picked up another point against Chelsea at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon.
But while Everton are enjoying an impressive run of form, the same can’t be said for City, as their miserable run continued at the weekend as they were beaten at Aston Villa.
It was a ninth defeat in 12 games in all competitions for the defending Premier Premier League champions, and they now sit seventh in the table, 12 points behind league leaders Liverpool.

And Tarkowski has warned Pep Guardiola’s side that they will be facing a team bang in form that is being aided by the return of a number of injured players.
He said: “I know it is difficult to go to these stadiums, and there is a lot of talk about Man City’s form right now, but I still look at their team and see a team full of players who are quality.
“City are a top side, so people are going to question them at the minute, but we are going there fully expecting to get a result from the game.
“We are a team in good form, and we have not lost many games in the last 12 or 13 games, and we are in a place where we are feeling good.
“We have got a strong squad at the minute with people coming back from injury and stuff, so we are feeling good as a group.
“This is a nice period of time where there are a lot of games coming thick and fast, so bodies are going to be needed, but we have a strong squad there as well.”
