West Ham United travel to the south coast to take on Southampton in the Premier League on Boxing Day.
And Jamie Carragher has made a hugely bold prediction for the Premier League showdown.
West Ham desperately need a win at St Mary’s, and Southampton obviously do as well.
Julen Lopetegui is still very much a man under pressure at the London Stadium, but it has been claimed that the Hammers owners are prepared to give him more time to prove himself.
A win at Southampton would set the Hammers up perfectly for our daunting upcoming clash with Liverpool on December 29th.
However, the West Ham players will have to be on top form to get all three points, despite the Saints’ struggles this season.
That said, we are big favourites to win the match.

The Hammers have shown some slight improvements in recent weeks.
Five points from the games against Wolves, Bournemouth and Brighton is not a bad return at all in all fairness.
So can we make it eight points from four games on Boxing Day?
Jamie Carragher has made a prediction for the outcome of the match for Sky Sports.
And amazingly, Carragher has backed Southampton to win 2-1.
The Saints have racked up just six points from 17 games this season, and I would be absolutely shocked if they beat us at St Mary’s.
That said, they will have a new manger in the dug-out in the form of Ivan Juric.
So that may well give the Southampton players a big boost.
I still think West Ham will beat Southampton comfortably though, and Jamie Carragher’s bold prediction will be made to look a bit silly by the time 5 o’clock Thursday evening rolls around.
