Many news stories went overlooked yesterday, with the speed of developments on ‘that’ story. West Ham’s captain, Jarrod Bowen, has posted an update on his fitness using social media to keep in touch.
And in what looks very good news for Hammers fans as well as for the player himself, Bowen posted on instagram stories a video of himself running using an anti- gravity treadmill as he strives to keep fitness whilst his fracture heals.
Whist there is a long way to go, Bowen looks to be able to put some weight on his foot which is itself a good sign, and hopefully means the prognosis of being away for two months plus might be overly pessimistic.
West Ham certainly need their skipper back fighting fit for the second half of the season.
With no Michail Antonio and Niclas Fullkrug’s future still a little unclear with more suggestions of overseas interest coming daily during the January window – it will be a massive boost for Bowen and the club if he is back on the pitch in March.
