The deal for Graham Potter to become West Ham United’s next manager has been completed.
While precise details remain scarce, Claret & Hugh has heard from a reliable source that the “Potter deal is done.”
As reported earlier, Julen Lopetegui is currently at West Ham’s Rush Green training ground and is expected to be dismissed today.
Last night, Claret & Hugh revealed that Graham Potter’s representatives had been pushing for a two-and-a-half-year contract, while West Ham’s negotiating team initially sought to offer a six-month deal.
It now appears a compromise has been reached. Potter will reportedly have the ability to trigger his preferred contract length if he meets specific performance targets this season. While the exact details of these targets remain undisclosed, further information is expected to emerge informally over the coming hours.
As it stands, Graham Potter has agreed to the terms and is set to become West Ham’s next head coach. Announcement will be made officially in due course but the deal is done.
