Marcus Rashford, who was not retained by Manchester United, has reportedly held discussions with AC Milan over a possible January loan move to the Serie A side.
Rashford’s agents flew to Italy on Tuesday
For opening initial discussions with Milan’s recruiting staff, according to The Athletic. The Rossoneri are currently “evaluating” potential options for the January transfer window following the departure of manager Paulo Fonseca and the arrival of replacement Sergio Conceicao. A subsidized loan?
Rashford has been sidelined by new United manager Ruben Amorim and appears to be looking for a way out in January. Milan have emerged as a potential option, while Borussia Dortmund and PSG have also been linked with the 27-year-old. Saudi clubs have also approached Rashford but have been rebuffed by the striker, who is not interested in a move to the Middle East.
Milan legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who played with Rashford at United and now holds a managerial role at the Rossoneri, has approved a move for the Red Devils academy graduate and would be happy for his club to bring him to Italy.
