Arsenal are set to wear a whiteout kit against Manchester United in this weekend’s FA Cup clash, continuing their tradition from recent seasons.
Arsenal Shirt Collection and Footy Headlines report that Arsenal are set to launch a new 2024/25 whiteout shirt as part of their No More Red campaign against youth violence and knife crime.
Footy Headlines write that the shirt will be worn against Manchester United on Sunday, January 12th, and that it’s set to be revealed very soon.
Based on previous editions of the shirt, the kit will be an alternate-colour version of the current home kit, predominantly using white. The logos will either be black, or white with black outlines.
But Footy Headlines admit that they have no information on the exact design as it stands, so it remains to be seen if Arsenal and Adidas switch things up this year.
Regardless of the exact design, the shirt will not be available to buy. Arsenal have always been clear that the kit will never be commercially available and it will only be awarded to individuals making a positive difference in the community.
With just days to go until the actual match, Arsenal’s own announcement and confirmation of the new shirt surely can’t be far away.
The Gunners will hope for a win in the shirt this time, having lost to Liverpool whilst wearing it last season. The team did beat Oxford United in 2022/23 wearing the shirt, but they lost to Nottingham Forest the previous campaign, so the overall record is one win and two defeats.
