There have been consistent rumours surrounding Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford given his situation at Old Trafford, and Tottenham Hotspur are believed to be one of the clubs interested in pursuing a move for the unsettled 17-goal England international, per Chris Wheeler from Daily Mail.
Rashford situation at United
Ruben Amorim’s side has made game time hard to come by for the 27-year-old, and Rashford is looking on the outside in search of more game time and finding his form again.
Rashford has shown the tenacity to carry attacks on his own at his best and is the ideal player to boost Tottenham’s attack under Postecoglou, given he brings pace, creativity, and finishing ability, complemented by the versatility to play across the front three.
Has a Premier League record like not many…
While he has been struggling of late, Rashford boasts a Premier League track record, and history will likely suggest he can make an instant impact. Moreover, despite limited opportunities coming his way at United, he has aggregated 10 goal contributions in the ongoing campaign, and now that with his hunger to prove his quality, he could see himself quickly become a key player for the Lilywhites.
And the prospect of combining Rashford’s pace and creativity with Solanke’s clinical presence in front of the goal is an exciting prospect for Tottenham supporters.
Manchester United still hasn’t signalled whether they will sell Rashford, but Daniel Levy would be wise to offer him a structured deal – preferably a loan with a purchase option next summer. However, it will be a headline signing if the North Londoners were to go through with their interest and would be a big boost in Ange’s push for silverware this season.
