Tottenham have had a mixed start to the season, opening with a loss to Newcastle but bouncing back with a crucial 1-0 victory over Europe’s top side, Liverpool. As speculation around Randal Kolo Muani’s potential move to Spurs intensifies, Dr. Rajpal Brar has advised that Tottenham should not expect the PSG striker to become a regular starter immediately.
The injury expert warns that if Tottenham sign Randal Kolo Muani and immediately rely on him as a regular starter, his limited game time at PSG this season could pose fitness challenges. This is a significant concern for Spurs, who are already dealing with an injury crisis and desperately need reinforcements capable of making an immediate impact.
Spurs expected to go all out for the Frenchman
Kolo Muani, who joined PSG from Frankfurt in 2023, has struggled to make a significant impact for the Parisians due to recurring injuries. Over 1.5 years, he has managed just 54 appearances, contributing to 18 goals. Dr Rajpal Brar, a physical therapist and sports scientist, highlighted concerns in an exclusive with Tottenham News, stating that if Tottenham plans to rely on Muani for substantial minutes right away, his limited game time this season could become an issue.
The doctor advises that if Tottenham plans to bring Kolo Muani in gradually and allow him time to adapt, the lack of recent game time may not be a major concern. He suggests that the best approach would be to gradually increase his minutes over the first few weeks rather than expecting him to start every game immediately.
The doctor speaking to Tottenhamhotspurnews, suggested
“If the idea is to have him come in immediately and play big minutes, then his lack of minutes this season could be a concern,”
“If there is a plan to bed him in gradually and allow him to adapt, it’s not all that concerning.
“My advice would be to gradually ramp up his minutes in the first few weeks rather than expect him to start every game right away.“

Kolo Muani’s versatility, capable of playing in all three attacking positions behind the striker as well as leading the line, makes him a valuable asset for Ange Postecoglou. He has the potential to establish himself as a consistent starter, but it is unclear how quickly he will adjust to the Premier League’s demands.
