Bournemouth full-back Max Aarons has travelled to Valencia ahead of securing his loan move.
Mail Sport revealed this week that the former England U21 international would be allowed to leave amid interest from foreign clubs with LaLiga strugglers Valencia among them.
Talks have accelerated over the course of the week and the former Norwich star is now travelling to southern Spain to seal the deal.
The full-back, who joined the Cherries in 2023, has seen his first team opportunities limited under Andoni Iraola this season making just three appearances so far – including just one start.
And the Premier League club are prepared to let the right-back leave the club during the January window.
Clubs across France, Italy and Spain had expressed an initial interest in the 25-year-old. Ligue 1 club Lille were also among the teams interested.

Carlos Corberan’s Valencia side are in talks with the player over a loan that could become permanent for £7.5m
Aarons arrived from Norwich in 2023 with the reputation as one of the best emerging full-backs in English football.
But his career has stalled on the south coast this season and a move away in order to secure more regular first team football could benefit all parties.
Bournemouth, meanwhile, have had a busy January window already, with Phillip Billing also departing the Vitality Stadium, signing for Serie A giants Napoli.
The deal for the Danish midfielder is an official loan with an option to buy for around £8m.
