West Ham United head coach Graham Potter absolutely has to make a couple of big signings in the January window.
The January transfer window is wide open now, and Graham Potter will undoubtedly be looking to strengthen his West Ham squad in pretty much every single department.
Potter has already said that he’s keeping his eye on opportunities in the market, and will try to bolster his ranks if he can.
If we exit the window without making any new signings, the second half of the season will be a really tough slog.
The squad left behind by Julen Lopetegui is an extremely unbalanced one.
And now it’s down to Potter to address that, with the help of David Sullivan of course…
Sullivan to bring box-to-box star to West Ham for Graham Potter
Central midfield is certainly an area where the Hammers are particularly weak.
We need more bodies through the door as soon as possible.
Preferably, the Hammers need to sign a box-to-box midfielder in January.
And according to a report from the Independent, David Sullivan has told Potter that he will be bringing Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to the London Stadium on loan this winter.
Described as a special player by The Athletic, the 26-year-old Chelsea star will be perfect for the Hammers.
He’s a box-to-box midfielder and has energy and athleticism in abundance.
However, Dewsbury-Hall is a real technician as well and would dove-tail perfectly alongside the likes of Lucas Paqueta, Carlos Soler, Tomas Soucek and Edson Alvarez.
If Graham Potter manages to bring the Chelsea star to West Ham on loan in the January window, I think it will be a great transfer for us.
However, I would prefer it if we managed to include an option to buy clause into the deal.
