Tottenham Hotspur tipped to part ways with Richarlison
Tottenham Hotspur have had a major problem on the left wing this season with neither of Richarlison, Son Heung-min or Timo Werner meeting expectations. The Brazilian international’s problem has been particularly worrying as he has struggled for form as well as fitness, thus prompting talk that he could be on his way out of the club sooner rather than later.
At the moment, there are not many good wingers available in the market who could be acquired for a reasonable transfer fee, so Spurs have decided to go for a central forward instead and Paris Saint-Germain star Randal Kolo Muani has been closely linked with them. The Lilywhites could land the Frenchman on loan with an option or obligation to buy him at the end of the campaign.
Bryan King believes Richarlison should be shown the door if Spurs succeed in securing Kolo Muani’s services. He was quoted saying the following to Tottenham Hotspur News regarding the situation.
“They must look to get a deal for Kolo Muani done. However, that still leaves Richarlison’s future up in the air. They’ve got to get rid of him. Tottenham have got to get rid of him and replace him with a player of a higher quality. Richarlison had a big name when he arrived. However, he hasn’t produced the kind of form that you would expect considering the big money that was paid for him. Therefore, if you can move him on and put that money toward Kolo Muani, get it done.”
With Manchester United likely to wait until the summer to sign a potent marksman, Tottenham Hotspur are likely to have a clear path to Randal Kolo Muani’s acquisition this month. The former Eintracht Frankfurt star’s arrival would exponentially bolster the team but it is unlikely that his signing would significantly impact Richarlison’s future in the immediate term.

The former Everton star will be valuable to Postecoglou’s squad depth when fit and the manager himself would be hesitant in getting rid of him owing to all the injury headaches throughout the season. The summer, however, could see a different story as the Saudi Arabian sides may knock on the player’s door with Tottenham also likely to be tempted into selling him then.
