Manchester City are weighing up a potential move for Juventus fullback Andrea Cambiaso, according to reports.
Relevo.com reporter Matteo Moretto says that manager Pep Guardiola is a fan of the 24-year-old and the Cityzens could decide to step up their interest in the player.
Supporters on X have been debating whether Cambiaso is really the best target to strengthen the club’s options at the back:
Makes sense watched him play he seems like a pep player

Baller, love his profile though I doubt Juventus would entertain any offers at present but one to look out for in the summer

Need a RB and if we are going to sign a LB I’d prefer Robinson

Cambiaso has been linked with a move to England before
Back in May last year, it was reported that both Arsenal and Manchester United were circling the Italian international.
However, at the time, Cambiaso snubbed the interest from England to sign a new contract with Juve. It remains to be seen whether he would be more open to joining City.
He may be Walker’s replacement at City
Although Cambiaso is usually deployed on the left flank, he is both-footed, so he could be deployed at right-back if required.
With Kyle Walker having asked to leave the Etihad, it seems likely that Cambiaso is one of the names being considered to replace the City captain.
Walker could actually join a team in Italy, with AC Milan currently regarded as favourites to secure his signature. At the time of writing, though, nothing concrete has been agreed with the Rossoneri.
