Tough Game Against Side In Winning Form
AFCB’s 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea was a very good result with our club’s injury situation and makes it nine games unbeaten. The Cherries next game is also away and they travel up to the North East to play Newcastle United on Saturday at 12.30 pm. Eddie Howe’s side have been in good form of late home and away, with six Premier League games wins in a row. Newcastle United are 4th and AFCB 8th in the table.

The Cherries fans will think back to our first home game of this season and that controversial VAR handball decision given against Dango Ouattara in injury time in AFCB’s first home game against the Magpies at Dean Court. AFCB should have had all three points, in the end they had to settle for one point.
Since that game, Eddie Howe and his team at home have beaten Spurs 2-1, Arsenal 1-0, Leicester City 4-0 and Aston Villa 3-0 and most recently Wolves 3-0. They drew 1-1 with Manchester City and 3-3 with Liverpool. Two sides have beaten them at home, Brighton 0-1 and West Ham 0-2. Away from home they have won 5, drawn 2 and lost 3.
The last time our club visited St. James’ Park was in February of last year. After a goalless first half, the Cherries took the lead through Dominic Solanke, but that lead was short lived when Anthony Gordon equalised with a penalty. Antoine Semenyo put AFCB back in front, but two minutes into injury time, our old player Matt Ritchie equalised for a draw.
All our away league games against Newcastle United, AFCB have W 2,
D 2, L 3.
In all competitions, AFCB have W 5, D 8, L 7.
Newcastle United Team News
They have a number of injuries, including Harvey Barnes, Nick Pope, Jamaal Lascelles and Callum Wilson.

Alexander Isak has scored 11 goals (including a hat-trick at Ipswich) in his last eight Premier League games, plus 3 assists.
AFCB Team News
James Hill was substituted in the first half against Chelsea due to having a tight hamstring according to our manager after the game. He said he was taken off as a precaution and we will have to wait and see how bad it is before our next game. Kepa will be available for selection again.
AFCB Player To Watch
Antoine Semenyo had another good game and scored another very good goal at Stamford Bridge. He is our leading scorer in open play with 6 goals. Justin Kluivert is top scorer with 7 goals, but the majority of those have come from the penalty spot.
The Referee
Stuart Atwell is in charge of this game, he has taken two of our other games this season. The away game at Everton and the home against Brighton..
