Bayern Munich goalkeeper Sven Ulreich is reportedly contemplating his future with the club.
The long-time deputy for Manuel Neuer has been supplanted this season by second-year man Daniel Peretz, and his prospects for the future look less good than that — particularly if Bayern manage to sign another promising young prospect in FC Köln keeper Jonas Urbig.
Is Ulreich content to be the No. 3? That appears to be up in the air, according to reporting from Sport Bild, captured via @iMiaSanMia:
Sven Ulreich is still considering whether to stay at Bayern next season as #3. Bayern have offered him a new deal and also want him to be involved at the club after his retirement [@altobelli13, @cfbayern]
The veteran, who will be 37 at the start of next season, has enjoyed a long run in Bavaria…and, like Thomas Müller, clearly has a place at the club for whenever he decides to hang up his boots.
But Neuer is about to be 39, and Bayern are clearly making numerous efforts to get younger at the position.
