Mads Hermansen was the special guest star in todays official matchday live game show. The team miss Mads massively, should have been out there on the field today. Sadly no settled date for his return to action, hopefully rather sooner than later. Woyo Coulibaly is not able to play just yet, as he has not yet trained with the team, due to paperwork and clearance.
Wilfred Ndidi could return to the team during January, but still uncertain. Hopefully he is soon back as his presence is very much needed. Hamza Choudhury was not included in the squad being rumoured to be on the move to Sheffield United.
Looking at the list of potential players being linked with a move. At present there are little or no news to see as concrete signings in our list of hot, cool and cold targets. This is in real grim reading. Not that all of the players linked are good alternatives, but the fact that Leicester looks down the pecking order in those chases.
The situation at the club is not what we would have liked with too many players in the squad and some have to go before new are added. This January transfer windows is of course too short to make the moves needed to lift the building, so hopefully a couple of signal signings can be done, but have little trust in special and good moves happening.
“We didn’t perform as we can” – Ruud after #LEIFUL 🎥
— Leicester City (@LCFC) January 18, 2025
The shocking truth at this moment is that Ruud Van Nistelrooy has a picture of this situation far from what we believe would be the way forward. His use of players and how he rate creativity in the midfield area makes this a difficult act. He ignores the potential of Bilal El Khannouss and Facundo Bounanotte, not really building the team and solution around these two players, that would be the ideal way forward, but instead he highlights the players fault as he takes them of the field or not starting them.
Why Ruud van Nistelrooy and Steve Cooper does not have the belief in these two talents playing together, as well as giving Will Alves a chance to shine, building on creativity as a potential for this team going forward.
We have to hope for a quick return for Mads Hermansen and Wilfred Ndidi, and crossing fingers that we will get things correctly, but at this point, Ruud van Nistelrooy looks stuck in mud at the moment, as this project soon need a direction. At the moment, cannot see how this can continue, it’s no direction in this, sorry.
