This is the big blow of the winter transfer window. This Friday evening, Paris Saint-Germain formalized the arrival of Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia for the sum of 70 million euros from Napoli.
A transfer which will strengthen the Paris Saint-Germain squad and its offensive sector. On the set of Canal Football Club this Sunday evening, Samir Nasri did not hesitate to compliment the new Parisian recruit and believes that he will bring added value to the group led by Luis Enrique.
“With Bradley Barcola’s decline in form in Ligue 1 and the Champions League, it’s good to recruit a player with quality, who knows how to win and who can be the counterpart of Ousmane Dembélé on the other side. I really think he will bring added value especially in the Champions League because when he is on a good day he is a very good player,” he said.
A trio of Kvaratskhelia, Dembélé and Barcola?
Luis Enrique has a new string to his bow in his offensive sector. Kvaratskhelia will compete with the players already present in the squad. If everyone expects him to establish himself directly on the left side in place of Bradley Barcola, Luis Enrique could finally align the Frenchman and the Georgian at the same time.
As he announced at a press conference this Friday, Barcola can also play on the right wing. It is therefore not impossible to see a trio of Kvaratskhelia, Dembélé and Barcola in attack. Ousmane Dembélé could play in a false number 9 position, while Barcola would take the right side. To be continued…
