Graham Potter has raided his former club Chelsea by poaching his trusted recruitment analyst Kyle Macaulay to join his backroom team at West Ham.
Previously highlighted as a possibility by Mail Sport, a deal has been struck between the two Premier League clubs for Macaulay to make the move across London.
Official confirmation is expected to follow this week. Macaulay stayed at Chelsea when Potter was sacked in April 2023, along with his goalkeeper coach Ben Roberts.
Roberts will be remaining at Chelsea, who see their head of global goalkeeping as key to their long-term plans.
Potter is looking to shape his West Ham squad by making his own signings. Macaulay is a close confidante in that regard as he prepares reports on potential transfer targets.

He could even get to work as soon as this month, with around two weeks left in the January window.
It remains to be seen what job title he will take on, with West Ham’s sporting director Tim Steidten facing criticism for his record in making signings.
