So it seems like Noah Okafor of AC Milan could be West Ham United bound in the January window.
The Hammers’ interest in the 24-year-old attacker first broke yesterday, but things have now progressed even further it seems.
West Ham head coach Graham Potter desperately needs to sign a new striker in the January transfer window.
Forwards Michail Antonio, Niclas Fullkrug and Jarrod Bowen are all currently out with long-term injuries.
The Hammers skipper is the only who is expected to be back in action anytime soon as well.
And if Potter is to succeed at the London Stadium, he cannot allow this window to pass without signing a top-class attacker.
The good news is that West Ham are seemingly ramping up our interest in Okafor – a player who’s absolutely perfect for us.
West Ham make bid for Noah Okafor
It seems like the Hammers’ transfer business is really beginning to heat up now.
A move for Noah Okafor is said to be in the pipeline, and now the ball is very much in AC Milan’s court it seems.
According to a report from Calciomercato, West Ham have lodged a firm bid for Milan striker Noah Okafor.
The Hammers are said to have made a £1.5 million loan offer for the Swiss forward – a deal that includes an option to buy him in the summer for £21.5 million.
If West Ham manage to sign Okafor for just £23 million in total this month, it will be fantastic business for the club.
I would absolutely love the fleet-footed 24-year-old to move to the London Stadium in the January window.
He’s a special, special talent, and would totally transform our attacking play as a team overnight.
Noah Okafor would be unreal for West Ham
The Milan hitman is absolutely rapid, and he possesses truly exceptional movement.
He can be a fox in the box, or run the channels, and can play on both wings, as well as through the middle as a No.9.
Okafor has struggled for Milan over the past 18 months, but he hasn’t been given regular starts in all fairness to him.
Crucially, the Milan forward stands at 6ft 1in tall, and is very strong in the duels.
That will prove to be vital, if he does indeed move to the Premier League from Serie A this month.
Noah Okafor has absolutely everything that West Ham lack up front right now, and he would be a fabulous signing for us in the January transfer window.
Whether or not we are able to agree terms with AC Milan for the former RB Salzburg forward remains to be seen though.
