Jamal Musiala is currently working with Bayern Munich on a crucial contract extension to stay at the club long-term. When the wages get high, the drama usually rises and this case is no exception. Over the past few weeks, there has been no shortage of rumors between what is taking place behind closed doors in these discussions.
The largest criticism is that Musiala and Davies are colluding to tie themselves together, essentially putting Bayern in a situation where they have to overpay both individuals to ensure they both stay in Munich.
The German superstar has now been criticized heavily but does not seem too bothered with the social media comments:
“I think it’s funny what I’ve been reading on social media in the past few weeks. Everyone who really knows me knows how much I appreciate the club and how much I like being here. I’m concentrating on football and we’ll see what happens in the next few weeks. The talks are going well,” said Musiala (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Reporters were also not shy to bring up his connection to Davies and Sané in the presser.
Musiala on whether he’d be happy if his friends Davies and Sané stayed at Bayern: “Phonzy and Leroy are both my closest friends. They are great players and are very important to us. Let’s see what happens. But I would be happy to play with them for the next few years.” pic.twitter.com/BhiE2uxuNp

Musiala has made it clear that he wants to stay at Bayern Munich, but has laid out some pretty steep demands. Will Bayern play ball with his rumored release clause and his entourage’s wages?
