Bayern Munich was on the receiving end of a proper shellacking on Wednesday, traveling to Rotterdam only to get downed 3-0 by Feyenoord before a raucous and rocking home crowd.
The fourth-placed Eredivisie side showed no signs of fear against the German record champions. If anything, it was Bayern that looked rattled, especially after giving up two first half goals, both scored by Santiago Giménez. Eventually, the increasingly aggressive search for a third opened up Bayern at the back one too many times and Ayase Ueda put the finishing touches on a famous Champions League win in the 89th minute.
There is lots to digest after this one and some hard lessons for Bayern to learn — and learn they must, in short order. For now, here’s how German outlets Bild and kicker rated the Bayern performances. Have your own say below the jump!
