One exclusive transfer report has claimed that Chelsea still want to sign a new striker this current transfer window, with 6 names mentioned.
This news will certainly please Chelsea fans as they continue to see their club linked with a move to sign Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United this window rather than address the spine of the team that badly needs addressing.
Sources: Liam Delap, Jhon Duran, Darwin Nunze, Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko, and Dusan Vlahovic – Transfer updates on new strikers!
They really need to bring in a new striker to lead the line, to be more of a focal point, and to bag more goals. But as well as all of that, they need someone in to challenge Nicolas Jackson, who plays every single league game and is not really challenged right now. They need big competition up there as well as a different kind of profile to Jackson.
Chelsea still in for a striker
An exclusive article by GIVEMESPORT journalist Dean Jones claims Chelsea still want a striker in this month.
Jones says:
‘The prospect of Chelsea signing a striker is still alive. Sources refuse to rule out the potential of a No.9 heading to Stamford Bridge.
‘Chelsea only want players for such a role that are guaranteed to level-up their goal threat. In the past, we have become used to the capital club splashing out on potential, rather than proven credentials, but the understanding here is that will not be the case. A host of names are being linked at the moment.’
The names he mentions as potential targets are Benjamin Sesko, Liam Delap, Victor Osimhen, Jhon Duran, Dusan Vlahovic, and Matheus Cunha.
The most likely out of that bunch according to the report is Delap from Ipswich, but he also says they do not want to sell this window.
