West Ham will move on from Declan Rice and have nothing ‘huge’ planned to replace him says boss David Moyes.
The world have just started to wake up to the fact Declan Rice will be sold for the right price by West Ham this summer.
But West Ham fans have known that would be the case for some time.
Joe Cole has stated the Hammers captain would walk into any side in Europe.
The likes of Arsenal and Man United are being heavily linked with a move for the West Ham midfielder. And at this point ad nauseam.
Rice is a generational hybrid talent who will not be easily replaced by one single player in West Ham’s midfield.

So it is likely the Hammers will have to sign two midfielders – perhaps of of differing styles – in his stead.
He is undoubtedly West Ham’s talisman and will leave a huge hole in the team.
But West Ham will move on from Rice and the club is not planning anything ‘huge’ to replace him says David Moyes.
In quotes reported by BBC Sport journalist Simon Stone, Moyes conceded Rice is likely to leave even if West Ham get in the Europa League by winning the Champions League.
‘Like every other club would’
But he says West Ham are about more than just Declan Rice.
“Is Europa League enough? I don’t know,” Moyes said.
“I don’t want to get too involved in Dec at moment, I get asked questions, I try answer straightforwardly as I can.
“It would be great if Dec was West Ham player. If not we’ll move on like every other club would.”
And when that increasingly inevitable day arrives the Scot does not plan to make any big marquee signings as Rice’s replacement.
“No, I would hope not as much work as last summer, when we brought in more than you would ideally want to bring in,” Moyes added.
“I see more tinkering than huge stuff, not loads of work. A change here or there.”
