West Ham looking good after Saturday’s results
Southampton are down!
Beaten by Fulham 2-0 at home this afternoon left them on 24 points and a goal difference which gives them no chance of recovery.
So that leaves two to go and Leeds managing a draw against Newcastle under former Hammers boss Sam Allardyce left them six points behind us with a dreadful goal difference so we are safe from them.
Nottingham Forest managed a draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge leaving them on 16th place – three behind us – with Brentford away next on the Hammers agenda tomorrow,
Forest too have an appalling goal difference of minus 31 against our minus 12 so things are looking good in that direction.
Tomorrow will see fourth off bottom Everton take on Manchester City at Goodison Park and on Monday second off bottom Leicester City entertain Liverpool.
No one wants to tempt fate but with Leeds at home and Leicester away to come after Brentford the Hammers are now surely safe.
