Moyes Bees selection dilemma – here’s a solution?
So which way does David Moyes today and to be honest were I in the position of picking a starting X1 with the squad he has created I would be scratching my head.
OK, relegation fears are 99.9 per cent dead, if indeed not the full 100 per cent, but we need to put a team out there today which can truly keep the momentum of the last two days going,
Inside and outside the club the feeling is that Thursday night’s second leg Conference game is the big one and that is of course correct but another sub standard league display is not going to help anything in Holland.
Of course there are injury fears but can you run a team on a protection basis when League positions remain important for everybody, along of course with positional bonus money.
Taking a look at things for today either Zouma, just back from injury again, or the back to his best Oggy will be fine to partner Nayef Aguerd as were there an injury either would be ok for Thursday.
Emerson looked fine in recent outings so I’d go with him on the left side whilst in midfield Flynn Downes could replace Soucek or indeed Declan who looked very tired on Thursday night. My choice would be Soucek who can come on from bench if and when required.
Benny was mom against Alkmaar so I’d keep him going with Paqueta and bring in Lanzini in the hole to support Mike up front and hopefully provide loads of creativity.
CandH team: Fabianski; Kehrer, Aguerd, Zouma, Emerson, Downes, Rice, Paqeuta Benrahma Lanzini, Antonio.
