West Ham travel to Brentford this afternoon looking for a win that would secure us our Premier League status for another season.
The Hammers beat AZ Alkmaar 2-1 in the Europa Conference League on Thursday night and have the second-leg to play next week.
With that game in mind, it’s understandable why David Moyes has made changes to his starting lineup for today’s clash…
West Ham starting lineup vs Brentford confirmed
Moyes has made nine changes from our win over AZ Alkmaar on Thursday night.
In come Lukasz Fabianski, Ben Johnson, Emerson Palmieri, Angelo Ogbonna, Flynn Downes, Pablo Fornals, Manuel Lanzini, Maxwel Cornet and Danny Ings in place of Alphonse Areola, Thilo Kehrer, Aaron Cresswell, Kurt Zouma, Declan Rice, Lucas Paqueta, Said Benrahma, Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio.
Let’s be honest here, 37 points is probably enough to keep us up, whatever happens.
However, any kind of positive result today would make our Premier League survival certain.
The Hammers have been in better form of late, and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if we nicked a decent result today.
Brentford are a very good side though, so the West Ham players selected by Moyes will have to be on their very best form.
