West Ham are ready to go back in for Sheraldo Becker this summer, after a failed move to sign him on transfer deadline day in the January window.
According to a report from Sky Deutschland, Sheraldo Becker is on the radar of West Ham manager David Moyes ahead of the summer transfer window.
West Ham missed out on the fleet-footed Suriname international in the end, having left it far too late.
It seems as though Moyes hasn’t forgotten about Becker though, and could make another attempt to sign him this summer…
West Ham back in for Sheraldo Becker after failed January transfer window swoop
Sky Deutschland claim that the Hammers want to sign the 28-year-old winger, but could face competition from Fulham and Burnley for his services.
I think that Becker would be a good addition to Moyes’s ranks at the London Stadium, mainly because of his explosive pace – something that West Ham are currently desperately lacking.
Give Me Sport recently described the Union Berlin ace as ‘lightening quick’. He can play on either wing, in the number 10 position or even as an auxiliary striker.
Becker has a really impressive attacking output to match his frightening speed as well.
He has 12 goals and 10 assists in 46 games to his name for Union Berlin so far this season (Transfermarkt).
Sky Deutschland claims that West Ham will have to pay €15 million (£13 million) if we want to sign Sheraldo Becker this summer, having missed out on him in the January transfer window.
That’s decent value as far as I’m concerned, and Moyes’s attacking options will be far stronger next season if he brings the Union Berlin man to the London Stadium this summer.
