David Moyes has two big reasons for wanting to leave West Ham claims a new report and one of them is damning.
Speculation has been rife over the future of David Moyes at West Ham for some time now.
The Scot has one year left on his West Ham contract.
After a difficult season in the Premier League, the Hammers finished strongly to avoid relegation with games to spare.
And West Ham are now preparing for a first European final in 47 years.
In recent weeks Moyes publicly stated he is preparing for the summer transfer window and next season.
But since then it has been widely reported the West Ham board have started the process to appoint a top level director of football.
DoF claims suggest clash of cultures is on the cards at West Ham
Given Moyes has always insisted on having final say on transfers, that particular recruitment drive suggests the Scot will either have to change the way he operates or leave.
Well it looks like being the latter. That’s if you believe fresh speculation in the last 24 hours.
But it may not be solely down to West Ham’s decision to appoint a director of football.
Because Moyes has two big reasons for wanting to leave West Ham claims a report and one of them is damning.

According to Football Insider, Moyes wants to return to his family home in Lancashire.
And the report claims another big factor is that the Scot has struggled to forge close relationships with the likes of Mark Warburton and other West Ham coaches appointed following the departures of Alan Irvine and Stuart Pearce.
“It is believed that Moyes now wants the Europa Conference Final against Fiorentina on 7 June to be his West Ham swansong irrespective of the match’s outcome…” Football Insider claims.
‘Moyes has not developed the same rapport’
“Moyes wants to leave the club on his own terms and return to his family home in Lancashire.
“Another major factor in his thinking is that he has lost two key allies at West Ham in recent seasons, trusted assistants Alan Irvine and Stuart Pearce.
“It is understood that Moyes has not developed the same rapport with their replacements at the club.”
Last month Joey Barton suggested it was no coincidence West Ham had struggled since Warburton’s arrival at the London Stadium.
The claim about Moyes’ relationship with his coaching staff does tally with a report from an alleged first team whistleblower a couple of months ago.
But it has been no for Football Insider and their sources to be wide of the mark with some of the West Ham claims they make.
We’ll find out soon enough.
