However, the Italian has struggled to establish himself at the London Stadium, and reporters close to David Sullivan recently claimed he could be sold for around £35 million this summer.
David Moyes is definitely somewhat to blame for the Italian’s struggles with the Hammers – he just hasn’t set up his team in a manner that suits the striker’s style of play.
Injuries have wreaked havoc with the 24-year-old’s 2022/23 campaign but when he has had a chance he’s looked completely unsuited to Moyes’s system.
And it appears as though Scamacca has had enough of life in East London…
West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca has told his agents which club he wants to play for next season
According to a report from Calcio Mercato, the former Sassuolo man has instructed his representatives that he wants to leave the Hammers to join Juventus this summer.
It’s a real shame that the Italian hasn’t made a big impact with West Ham this season. I actually really rate him as a centre-forward.
Scamacca bagged eight goals in 27 games for the Hammers this season (Transfermarkt). In fairness, that’s not a terrible return.
However, it is clear to see that whilst Moyes is in charge at the London Stadium, there is no future for the Italian at the London Stadium.
West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca will return to training in pre-season after he fully recovers from the knee surgery that he recently underwent.
However, whether he will be plying his trade at the London Stadium next season remains to be seen.
