The Conference League final is the biggest game the Hammers have faced since the FA Cup final against Liverpool in 2006.
The one problem we have as a squad is that there aren’t many of our players who have won anything in the game.
However, there is one West Ham star who has an extensive collection of medals – Kurt Zouma. And the Frenchman’s humbleness shone through brightly in his latest interview…

Zouma sat down for a lengthy and wide-ranging interview with WHUFC.com ahead of the final against Fiorentina next week.
And the 28-year-old responded when asked what winning the trophy would mean to him:
“Winning this would mean a lot for me, especially for this Club which is so eager to win a trophy. It’s been a long time for West Ham and we’ve got a great chance to do it now. If we win it, then I think it’s going to be a crazy feeling for everybody. It would be a dream to do it. We have the quality and now we’re just one game away from doing so.”
That is so good to hear from Zouma. Remember, he is a man who has won the Champions League, two Premier League titles, the UEFA Super Cup and the Carabao Cup with Chelsea.
The centre-back has won nearly all there is to win in the game, yet he is still so desperate to lift the Europa Conference League trophy with West Ham.
With characters like that in our team, we should be just fine on Wednesday night. I firmly believe that if West Ham turn up and take the game to Fiorentina, we will win.
