Hammers looking at Dario Osorio
West Ham United have reportedly made a formal bid for a Universidad de Chile starlet.
According to TNT Sports, West Ham have made an opening offer for Dario Osorio worth £5.5 million.
Hammers boss David Moyes will clearly be keen to bolster his attacking department at the London Stadium this summer, with more talented youth required.
It would be good for the squad to have more competition for Said Benrahma and Jarrod Bowen on the left and right wing.
And it seems as though Moyes has a very special young player in mind for the job…
Universidad de Chile legend Johnny Herrera reckons that the Hammers, as well as Leicester, have already made a concrete offer to bring the 19-year-old forward to the London Stadium.
“One of the majority shareholders (at Universidad) told me that (an offer) came of £5.5 million arrived from West Ham. Now, one from Leicester for £6.7 million as well. “I know of two offers for Osorio. One last year and this one from Leicester.”
So judging by those comments, the Hammers will need to up our offer, if we are to sign Osorio.
According to Transfermarkt, the talented teenager, who can play on either wing or in the number 10 position, has already scored eight goals in 42 senior games for Universidad de Chile
Dario Osorio is clearly a very talented young player, and it will be interesting to see whether West Ham go back in with another bid for him.
It does seem like we are making moves to bring some of the most talented youngsters in world football to the London Stadium this summer. And that can only be a good thing.
