Tammy Abraham suffered an ACL injury during Roma’s final game of the season yesterday, and in doing so has surely scuppered hopes of a West Ham move.
Roma striker Tammy Abraham is allegedly a potential transfer target for West Ham, with Gianluca Scamacca being tipped to head in the opposite direction.

Hammers boss David Moyes brought Scamacca to the London Stadium from Sassuolo for around £30 million (The Independent).
However, the 6ft 5in hitman has really struggled to establish himself with West Ham, with injuries seriously hindering his progress this season.
It’s not that Scamacca isn’t a good player – he is an exceptional talent. He just doesn’t fit into David Moyes’s system at the London Stadium though.

The 25-year-old striker suffered a heartbreaking ACL injury during Roma’s final Serie A game of the season yesterday.
According to Fabrizio Romano, he will not be back until November/December at the earliest.
As a result, I think it’s highly doubtful that the Hammers will make a move to sign Abraham this summer. And I think that’s a real shame for both him and West Ham.
The former Chelsea man is ideally suited to the way that we play, and he would have undoubtedly been a big hit at the London Stadium.
The ACL injury for Tammy has come at a terrible time, especially with the Euro 2024 qualifying just getting up and running.
On the plus side for the Hammers, there’s now a good chance that Scamacca will remain at the club and he hopefully will be given a proper chance to prove his worth.
