A report has made a big Brendan Rodgers claim with the future of West Ham United manager David Moyes up in the air.
Brendan Rodgers is the main managerial target for the West Ham board, if David Moyes is moved on this summer according to a report from Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna.

The thing is, in spite of the dull football that Hammers boss Moyes serves up, he has guided us to the Europa Conference League final, and we have a chance to win our first major trophy since 1980.
If West Ham are victorious out in Prague, it will be incredibly hard to sack the 60-year-old. However, with Celtic now managerless, Moyes could definitely be tempted into a switch to Parkhead.
And if that happens, it’s clear who the West Ham board want to replace him…

Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna claims that the 50-year-old Northern Irishman is the lead candidate to replace Moyes, if the Scot is tempted into taking the vacant Celtic manager’s job.
Rodgers has had sustained success for years with Liverpool, Celtic and Leicester City. He is well-renowned for setting up his teams on the front foot – something that we have been deprived of at West Ham with Moyes at the helm.
He deploys an attacking brand of free-flowing football and places an emphasis on ball retention. We can all agree that during the three-and-a-half years that Moyes has been in charge at the London Stadium, ‘attacking’ and ‘free-flowing’ are words that we have seldom used about the Hammers.
Rodgers has won two league titles during his time with Celtic, and an FA Cup with Leicester City. I truly believe that he would get the best out of our attack-minded players.
It is worth mentioning that he oversaw 80% of Leicester’s campaign that saw them get relegated this season though. We can’t just move on from that as if it didn’t happen. There is obviously a fault with his managerial style somewhere.
In spite of that, I still believe that the 50-year-old would be a great candidate for the West Ham job, and could well be the man to take us on to that elusive next level.
If West Ham do appoint Brendan Rodgers to take over from David Moyes, I think we’ll be in a really good place going forward.
