Liverpool are set to delay their plans of making an approach for James Ward-Prowse whose valuation could come down further ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.
The England midfielder is all but certain to leave the relegated Saints over the summer and Jurgen Klopp’s Reds are considered to be one of the clubs keeping close tabs on him.
With Klopp planning to rebuild his engine room before the next season gets underway, Ward-Prowse has presented himself as a viable target for the Liverpool manager who has already snapped up the coveted signature of Argentine star Alexis Mac Allister.
According to a report from The Daily Mail, it is claimed that the Anfield giants are likely to hold out for James Ward Prowse’s valuation to sink with the Southampton star’s price tag expected to be half of the rumoured whopping £50m figure.
The Reds believe they can get the 28-year-old midfielder for half that fee which would prove to be an excellent price of business this summer from Jurgen Klopp’s side.
