West Ham now face huge Harvey Barnes problem as report makes big Newcastle claim
Newcastle have thrown their hat into the ring to sign the Leicester City attacker in the summer transfer window according to a report from The Guardian.
That will obviously hurt the Hammers’ chances of signing the Foxes ace this summer.
Firstly, the Magpies have Champions League football on offer at St James’ Park.
Secondly, the Toon are the wealthiest club in world football, so will obviously be able to pay more for Barnes, as well as being able to offer him a bigger salary.
Harvey Barnes is an exceptional player and has absolutely everything that West Ham need, so missing out to Newcastle on his services will be a bitter pill to swallow.
Foxes of Leicester have described Barnes as ‘sensational’, and they’re spot on – he really is an elite player.
He has pace and power in abundance, and with 13 Premier League goals this season, he clearly has an eye for the back of the net as well.
It will be interesting to see whether Moyes is able to pull out all the stops and beat Newcastle to Barnes’ signature this summer.
